Khrami I HPP, which is a seasonally regulated, mixed type and high-head hydroelectric power plant and represents the first level of Khrami HPP cascade. The plant works on the river Khrami water course. Headwork is located at the beginning of Tsalka gorge and the power unit is built in the deep gorge, in the former riverbed of  Khrami river.

 

The plant was put into operation in 1947. Its installed capacity is 112.8 (3X37.6) MW and average annual capacity - 184 million kW/h.

 

The plant is in a private possession with the power of temporary management.
